Like most genuine wisdom in life, the lessons are in the pursuit rather than in the attainment. Mahalo to Aunty Pilahi, who continues to lead long after her physical being has left us. We all should heed the advice of our Kupuna, Aumakua and Akua. Pono Shim is a good example of how to live "pono" and in harmony with the land and the people of this land. Lets spread Aloha worldwide through our individual acts of Aloha to our family, friends and friends soon to be. Mahalo for this. Beautifully spoken. Comment on Aunty Malia Craver’s Speech at the United Nations by Kalei Luyben http://www.lifeintheseislands.com/2009/05/12/aunty-malia-cravers-speech-at-the-united-nations/#comment-4208 Kalei Luyben Wed, 30 Dec 2009 17:43:27 +0000 http://www.lifeintheseislands.com/?p=809#comment-4208 Aloha, aikane! I agree with Ke'ala and Makana. As we three draw together in love, respect, honor, dignity, and humility, we create that peace and unity of which Aunty Malia spoke to the United Nations. It is for us to continue in the light, sharing the light with others, spreading it by our peaceful presence daily. If we can be like Aunty Malia, we can spread her mana. Mahalo, everybody, and welcome to this meditative conversation on the power of the Aloha Spirit, which is a tradition, not a slogan. Ua pau, ua hala lakou, a koe no napua. We must carry our tradition higher and brighter than ever. Because Aunty Malia has been, we dare to become! Amen. Aloha, Kalei Aloha, Kalei Aloha, aikane!
